Our Pastor

Meet our new Pastor: Kay Hull!

A Lifelong Calling to Serve

From childhood, Kay Hull felt God’s call.  Baptized at age size in Cambridge, Kansas, she dedicated her life to ministry at twelve.  Though life led her through marriage, raising two songs, and running a beauty salon, her passion for faith never faded.

Serving in Ministry

Kay led Sunday School classes and children’s programs before pursuing pastoral studies through Sterling College’s Lay Pastor Program.  She later served the Cambridge church for 15 years, alongside her late husband, Ernie, who faithfully supported her ministry.

A New Chapter in Lawrence

Though she briefly stepped back from ministry after moving to Lawrence in 2017, Kay soon realized her calling remained.  She served as Commissioned Lay Pastor at Oakland Presbyterian in Topeka for over six years.  In 2021, Ernie passed away, and Kay eventually stepped away from her ministry at Oakland at the end of 2024.

Excited to Serve West Side Presbyterian

Now, Kay is thrilled to walk alongside the congregation of West Side Presbyterian Church, continuing to serve with love, faith, and a good sense of humor.  She deeply believes in fostering a warm and connected church family and looks forward to embracing the church’s mission with you all!
